PN200 Pendant – Operator Guide
The PN200 hand pendant provides remote control of your CNC plasma table. It allows operators to jog axes, set zero positions, and run common functions without standing directly at the main control PC. This page provides an overview of features and usage. For full details, see the attached PN200 Pendant Manual (PDF).
Key Features
-
Handheld control with emergency stop.
-
Jogging functions for X, Y, and Z axes.
-
Feedrate override knob for fine control during cutting.
-
Dedicated buttons for homing, zeroing, and cycle start/stop.
-
LCD display (if equipped) for DRO feedback and status indicators.
-
USB plug-and-play connection to the control PC.
Basic Operation
1. Connecting the Pendant
-
Plug the pendant’s USB cable into the control PC.
-
The system should recognize the device automatically (no drivers needed).
-
Confirm the pendant is active in CommandCNC before use.
2. Jogging the Axes
-
Use the directional keys or joystick (model dependent) to move the gantry.
-
Press and hold for continuous jog, or tap for incremental moves.
-
Jog speed can be adjusted in software or with the feedrate override knob.
3. Zeroing and Homing
-
Home: Use the pendant button to send all axes to their home switches.
-
Zero: Move to your desired origin point, then press the Zero X/Y/Z button(s).
4. Running Jobs
-
Use Cycle Start to begin a program.
-
Feed Hold pauses motion without losing position.
-
Cycle Stop ends the current program.
-
Use the Emergency Stop (E-Stop) in case of faults or unsafe conditions.
Safety Notes
-
Always test jogging and button functions before production use.
-
Never rely solely on the pendant for machine safety — E-stop is local only.
-
Keep the cable clear of the gantry and moving parts.
-
Only trained operators should use the pendant.
Troubleshooting
-
Pendant not recognized? Try unplugging and reconnecting, or restart CommandCNC.
-
Jogging reversed? Verify pendant axis mapping in system configuration.
-
Unresponsive buttons? Confirm pendant is enabled in software and check USB hub stability.
