Starlab CNC Plasma Table – Maintenance Schedule
Regular maintenance ensures smooth motion, accurate cuts, and long component life. Follow the schedule below to keep your system in top condition.
Daily Maintenance

Wipe rails clean (top and bottom).

Use WD-40 as a cleaner.

Remove dust, soot, and slag buildup that can damage bearings.

Weekly Maintenance

Apply 1 pump of grease to the long-axis bearings.

Recommended grease: Mobile XHP 222.

Every 6 Months
-
Grease Z-axis ballscrew and twin bearings.

Recommended grease: Mobile XHP 222.

Additional Checks (Ongoing)

Look for loose pinion gears.

Clear debris from the gear rack.
-
Watch for soot buildup on rails.
-
Listen for unusual bearing sounds (grinding, squealing).
Why This Matters
Skipping maintenance can lead to premature wear, lost steps, inaccurate cuts, and costly downtime. A few minutes of preventative care each day saves hours of troubleshooting later.
